the way my skin crawled while watching the news on yt the other day, especially at the parts where the camera was zooming in to show how detailed the "skin" is and the reporter touching and sqeezing the hand.... this whole thing is genuinely beyond fucked up reply
I've got similar problem except my dreams are all about paranormal(ghosts, spirits, haunted) stuff I have been thru some very horrifying experiences with my dreams and sleep paralysis since I was little. Can someone recommend me josei works similar to Ikoku Nikki/Journal With Witch? I just finished rewatching the anime today and I still can't move on from it (doesn't have to be only josei tho, any similar character-driven drama that is not romance focused, portrays mental health well and explores the process of dealing with certain emotions will do)

What has been your experience with the donghua so far? Do you think the approach director took with the adaptation was a good decision?
The biggest gripe I have with the adapation so far is the whole fucking...episodic approach it took. I thought LOM is one of the stories where you have to tell the story gradually to build up tension and "mystery"- to give the audience a room to breathe and process the informations before the big BANG. Not to mention, modification and rearrangement of plots, removing and shortening some of the impactful and emotional moments (specially with his family cuz it wont work in extra content), shortening(and removing) klein's personal training, the whole seer potion digestion process and the "acting" etc.- every single thing I mentioned have impacted the natural progression of such an amazing story. This pacing has also ruined the whole "coincidence" part of the plot and have made the events feel unnatural and isolated imo. I know we still have 8 more episodes(?) but I'm still let down let's see how they tackle the future events, tho I'm gonna have low expectations moving forward
