Sakura hate was too much
To this day, I barely understand on why people hate on Sakura so much. She's hated more than the villains in their series, and never have I ever seen a female character so degraded by the fandom and whole anime community. I mean it is confirmed studio Pierrot made her unlikable on some parts, but for majority of the series she's just okay? Her character is amazing too, literally raw strength?! Healer too?! Obv huge reasons of it is misogynistic. But holy shit how I wish sakuras character was treated more better.
While I do believe her hate is misogynistic her character isn't amazing at all and that is also misogynistic, her writing IS bad especially for being one of the three main characters all her powers are just Tsunades but less interesting and honestly the fact she ended up with a guy who straight up tried to MURDER HER is weird af. People hated her character because she was written as an unlikeable character, period. She was repeatedly portrayed by Kishimoto as immature, stupid, egotistical and treated the main characters badly. She insulted her teachers, kakashi and Tsunade, even though she could never reach their level when it came to battles, being a decent ninja, and just...... 2 reply
i remember 12 yr old me defending her under a naruto edit comment section, everyone went after her ass for cutting her hair instead of escaping some other way and made sad edits of how sakura betrayed naruto. i agree the author knew jack shit about writing female characters but some people legit went too far with the slander reply
Sakura had potential. So did other female characters. I think ultimately the problem lies with the author not knowing how to write women, or perhaps having certain preconceived ideas/intentions regarding them.
Any time a girl does something impressive/interesting, it would soon be overshadowed by another male character. Women are written as appet...... reply
Sakura and Neji are the two remarkable characters in Naruto who got the best character development.
I do agree that it’s stupid that she ends up with Sasuke so does all the pairings in Shippuden besides Temari and Shikamaru. Everything was forced.
She is my least favourite character but it’s kinda dumb when she’s being compared with Naruto ...... reply
