On the account to father's day, what's the best memory you have with your father (or father figure)
It does not necessarily have to be your biological father to celebrate father's day with. It could be a father figure aswell (someone who felt like father, a role model yk?)
Its a favourite memory of mine, but once in a local fair, no one in my family wanted to ride the rickety Ferris wheel except me and my father lol so we went on it and there were no seatbelts so we had to hold on to each other and the rails. I can't think of any happy memories with my father off the top of my head... more like bad ones... My father was basically absent throughout my entire childhood, either at work or emotionally unavailable. He also used to physically abuse my siblings and me when we were children. Later on (as we got older) that stopped, but still, I can't remember a...... 1 reply
When i was a kid, i really liked it when my father carries me that sometimes i pretend to be asleep just so he would carry me in his arms. I loved it, too much. It made me feel loved and secure. Our time was short because he went to jail. 3 reply
My favorite memory was when my dad would take us to different states like every once in a while! Ngl i found out recently that my dad went to different states to buy drugs for my mom loll but other than that it was insanely fun and my best memories with him 2 reply
My uncle tried to teach me how to ride a bike when I was in primary school. He’d married my mothers sister so he wasn’t related to me really but he was there in the hospital with my mom when she gave birth to me, was the first to hold me, was literally always there for me and treated me like his own even when he had a daughter—my cousin—six...... reply
Probably that one time when I was 13, he told me "good job" after I had given a presentation. Albeit it looked forced.... it was still the first time I felt "acknowledged" by him. Cried like a damn baby reply
