It’s not that serious

I was on TikTok and I saw this video that came across my for you page, It was something along the lines of ‘shipping best friends is weird’ (in which I agree with, but the context was referring to fictional characters such as anime boys…) I look at the comments? full of people agreeing. They were genuinely infuriated, how can shipping two anime boys be that serious?

my for you page has been full of homophobic videos it’s honestly insane, every time an edit of a queer ship pops up on my for you page, there’s a bunch of hate comments. At this point, I think homophobes are more involved in queer spaces than actual queer people.

So apparently, shipping two anime boys is a federal crime, but when it comes to the predators in such communities, the same energy isn’t given. People care more about their anime characters & fictional content more than actual victims. I’m tired of this moral superiority act, trust me megumi and yuji from jjk DO not care that they’re being shipped. I also don’t get why a fandom affects your enjoyment of a media in the first place lol
