Obsession
Easily one of my favorite movies but the nature of my critique is for the audience. First of all, as much as it pains me to, women, I don’t believe there’s anything desirable about Nikki’s behavior after Bear makes his wish BECAUSE ITS NOT FUCKING NIKKI YOU DOULT, DID YOU MISS THE PART WHERE SHE PISSED HERSELF BECAUSE SHE HAD NO BODILY AUTONOMY??? Second of all, men, NIKKI IS NOT YOUR FUCKING CRAZY LATINA GIRLFRIEND NOR SHOULD YOU WANT THAT (if you were a self respecting person). The point is that, you shouldn’t wish to be either Bear or Nikki because bear gets trapped in a hell of his own making and Nikki loses all autonomy and is left to deal with the hell left for her by Bear.
Okay, rant over, if you guys watched what did you think? :)
I thought it was okay and decent to watch. I'd probably give it a 2.5/5 tho because I felt like the unnecessary focus on bear and the vague gesturing to nikki and her dilemma/ development left a more interesting line of question open then bears incel fantasies could ever generate. And by focusing on bear, I feel like meta-thematically Nikki is miso...... 1 reply
i dont particularly enjoy watching movies but i made the effort to watch this one, & it was a decent watch. didnt even go on my phone once. it was better than the remaining horror movies that came out this year reply
