im friends with this girl and everyone in our friend group ships us. we joke argue all the time and are very touchy. yes, i do have a crush on her and i think she does too but the thing is..shes straight. she calls me her wife, flirts with me over text but sometimes gets distant for a while. she also initaiates the flirty texts. i dont know if i should confess or not. what should i do?

You should first really ask what her sexuality is or if she is considering experimenting, usually with my straight female friends we act extremely lovey dovey and sexual but still they remain as straight, it just shows that they are comfortable and care for our friendship.
