Isn't any manwhas involving Historical Romance genres getting too repetitive?
Y'all can tell me repetitive overused tropes too! Because I'm too tired to read ass writing over and over again lmfao
What never sat right through me is how ANY Historical genre manwhas often use Medieval-Europe or Joseon periods in choosing their timelines and the cultural presence isn't even there(most of the time lol). So is it alright to use informal language Infront of a royal with full of high ranking aristocrats? Is it alright to wear a simple maid wear looking outfits and being a Duke's daughter? To mention that author may simply forget how to research accurate historical norms... Fan languages, etiquette, mannerisms etc. that's a standard in writing good stories.
And notice how plots are repetitive, overused and is predictable?? - Lotus innocent MC who absolutely cannot do anything wrong - Reincarnated not actually a villainess business - runaway after spending the night of the ML who's a yandere btw (high risk of pregnancy) - overcomplicated angst over some simple misunderstanding and refusing to communicate - love triangles that usually end up in a poly relationship - OP FMLs which everything goes smoothly in their way without any obstacles for their revenge reincarnation - BABY reincarnation tropes which gives me the ick most... You're a grown ass 27 year old Korean woman that died from (overwork, rammed by a truck/car or killed by a jealous co-worker) and taking interest on some over a KID prodigy mage?? Helps the duke dad with their illness, usually reveals their high intelligence at the age of 2 and is also fluent and eloquent on speaking. - TRASH DUKE OF THE NORTH
I can pile up more but just thinking about it makes me boil in rage.
Don't forget the buying of a slave that is even treated as a romance option more often than not and the slave system is never brought up or is that relevant again. 1 reply
