To love is to suffer ×_×

This website is literally the last in my list to get some advice, but I know fully well you guys are insightful with so many things, so, please, help me T^T

So, someone told me that he is willing to wait for me and is trying to make himself better just for me. Mind you, we meet during our elementary days then he transfered school and came back here during junior high school. During our senior years we both ended in the same class—for 2 years— and at first I just saw him as a friend. At that time, he was finding someone that he liked back in elementary and was his first love and that someone is me—yes, me, no cap T^T. How did he knew it was me? I added him coz my bitch ass thinks it's cool to be friends with him and ship him with his male friend then he recognized my childhood photo. After that things changed gradually and it became more noticeable during our last senior year. We got to the point that we chatted but then I accidentally ghosted him due to an emergency on our town which he also lived in. Many this happened after that; we both acted like normal but we slowly drifted apart. I even tried to bring the friendship we had before yet I was never the same. Giving him a chance is a gamble that makes me want to take the risk but at the same time to scared to lose all I have in the near future.
