Bl readers hypocrisy/?
This has been making me curious for a while but why do bl readers kinda pick and choose which manhwa is bad? Like everyone hate jinx, ppl basically insult that manhwa up and called jaekyung the worst seme (and rightfully so) but why don’t ppl do the same to other manhwa who has rape? For example low tide in twilight has rape, but many ppl keep calling it peak and forgive the seme bc he changed. Wasn’t that the same situation as jinx tho? Passion, codename anastasia, etc has rape but the reaction is not as bad. What makes them different? Also before yall accusing me as a jinx fan, no i dropped that in like chp 10-ish
Jinx is a unique phenomenon tho. It became so popular that it reach audiences outside of the manhwa community. So everything abt it is amplified, lets say a regular popular manwha had 100 readers, and 20 were haters; in jinx case it was more like 10000 readers and 2000 haters. it is pure hypocrisy and they do have double standards. but to be fair, everyone and their mama hate jinx. because the plot is boring, because it doesn’t make sense, and because even the readers were disappointed by the ending.

Low tide definitely got dragged throughout it's upload sessions. The difference between the semes is that one had a redemption arc and the other one didn't. JK from Jinx consistently stayed an awful. I wonder this too and I feel that it roots in people who have fetishized gay sex so much to the point that they’re not affected by the fact that something contains rape content. I do think people hate series that’s a bit realistic than those of just really fiction. There’s a high chance you’ll meet an abusive partner like the Jinx guy and be a victim like his bottom but no way you’ll meet someone like those Seme

I feel like people hating on it, not the critique btw are just bored Outta their mind. And when there is a layout of "easy hate" it gets targeted a lot.
