Should I go to the dentist?

My bottom left wisdom tooth is growing in and its making my gum like tender and occasionally while chewing or like making the chewing motions it hurts alittle (i mean like the tiniest bit). The thing is I already have an appointment to get them (all 4) removed in september. Thats with a private clinic tho which we got referred to. I dont think my teeth will shift majorly or at all cause I have a retainer, but idk. I dont think we'll be able to move the date to get them removed up either cause we cant pay for it atm. Ive heard you should go to the dentist when its growing in tho cause it can cause pain and like infection??
