i really like medieval works of microhistory bc their focus on regular people like you and i really drives down how we are the drivers of our histories. one of the great historians in this field carlo ginzburg actually just passed away a few weeks ago, most ow his work was trying to understand popular culture/high culture distinction through recons......   reply

as someone self-centered, id look up historical figures my age and research about them (their legacy and such), id do that every year picking who or what to obssesed on based on my age for instance, joan of arc cause she's 7teen   reply
