Right now I'm really into ww1 - ww2 to modern time history but it feels weird cuz I'm most interested in how the politics of the time still impact today's governments and overall leftist movements from the time but everyone else into ww1 and ww2 are either Nazis or into battle strategies which idgaf about
i really like medieval works of microhistory bc their focus on regular people like you and i really drives down how we are the drivers of our histories. one of the great historians in this field carlo ginzburg actually just passed away a few weeks ago, most ow his work was trying to understand popular culture/high culture distinction through recons...... reply
