Am I tripping, or is every dick in Yaoi/BL circumcised?
I've been reading Yaoi for years, and I just realized something.
How come I've never (not even once) seen an uncircumcised dick? Like... seriously. Not a single one.
I know a lot of older works were censored back in the day, but nowadays a lot of series get uncensored editions or are redrawn. And even then... everyone is circumcised. At least that's what it looks like to me.
Is it really that common in real life? I'm not a guy, and I'm kind of asexual and aromatic, so I don't exactly come across penises very often... or at all.
I swear I've read 100+ BL series at this point, and I genuinely can't remember seeing a single clearly uncircumcised character. They don't even mention it.
Has anyone else noticed this? and what do ya'll think the reason is?
I'm gay and fuck a lot, uncircumcised dick is gross, sometimes a man don't wash their dick. And if that man uncircumcised, they will have dick cheese. AND IT IS GROSS.
so I think many author make it circumcised cuz it looks cleaner and pleasing to look at.

I think a big part of it is that it's just simpler to draw. I'm legitimately unsure of the circumcision rate in other parts of the world, but lack of beards is due to similar difficulties.
Also, for the most part, the skin pulls back upon erection and it doesn't really look TOO different other than a couple of extra folds under the head. reply
You can see some uncircumcised dick in manga (if they aren't lightsabered). But manhwa(wc is the growing uncensored media) is mostly circumcised.

apparently circumcision rate in Korea is 77% maybe that's why most uncensored manhwa is circumcised
japan and China is 9% and 14% respectively. most of the one I read is censored so idk how they draw their dih reply
I think (talking about korean yaoi manhwas) it’s because of the supposed belief or tradition of men being circumcised. Although it’s not a practice that is THAT common, the circumcision rate in the country is pretty high (around 60%). A lot of men are circumcised during adolescence or around the age of 12 because of hygiene reasons and cultural...... 1 reply

as for an uncircumcised wiener, aside from the practical reason that it's hygienic, another major reason why people do circumcise, either later in life or for their children, at least in the case of the US, it's just more aesthetically ple...... reply
I noticed it as well haha, been reading for a while but never seen one till recently. Finally found a manhwa with some foreskin representation lol.. Its called guiding me mad if youre interested.
But honestly besides that I have never seen it. But like Jejejeje said its probably just easier to draw + more appealing to most to draw it circumsized. (...... reply
