Watch or read?
Do you prefer watching anime or reading manga?
Personally, I prefer reading rather than watching. I’ve tried watching anime, but I usually end up cringing. I also prefer the original versions, which are usually the mangas.
I used to be anime-only, but nowadays I prefer actually reading the manga. I still like doing both though; specifically action stories are sometimes better/easier to digest as an anime and romance is more interesting to read rather than watch, in my opinion. reply
I started with watching anime, then I read my first manga, then I got addicted to reading manhuas on bibili, then I read a manga on this site and never fully was able to go back. 1 reply
I started off with watching but honestly I prefer reading now, I get really worked up everytime I get into something new so I tend to consume the content really fast and I read really fast too so that combined is just convenient
After I read I usually watch if it has an adaptation just to really enjoy it while knowing what happens ( ˶°ㅁ°) !! reply
Reading. I used to prefer watching anime but
1. The animation and sub quality has dropped so much in the last years it makes me not wanna watch stuff lowk
2. My attention span is shit and I end up with two screens if I watch something, which doesnt happen when reading reply
It depends on the genre of manga. If it's a manga with lots of action scenes, I really enjoy watching the animated version. In my opinion, some action scenes aren't as easy to follow in the manga.
But putting that aside, there are so many great mangas that haven't (yet) been adapted into anime and if you don't read mangas, you're really missing ou...... 1 reply
Considering I only read romance, I prefer to read instead of watching. Usually, straight romance is very cringe once animated, and well, there isn’t that many bls or gls that have been animated. Either way, reading is much more fun to me.

im ngl i read instead of watch stuff in general. Because like I get distracted and if I'm reading something i can just lock right back in where I left off. But if I'm watching something and get distracted I have to like, turn back to wherever I was and eventually it just feels humbling reply
