I just finished reading Hero's Coffin.
Harenir (the top/ML whatever I can count on one hand the number of ML that are bottom) legitimately started kneeling, carrying, feeding Isaph like my guy, what.
When he feels scared Isaph is going to disappear, he doesn't want to put a collar on Isaph, no, you know what he wants to do? He wants to put a collar on his own neck and give the leash to Isaph.
