How has reading manga/manhwa/manhua changed you?
The changes can be good or bad. This randomly just popped up in my head while tryna sleep. As for me it made me more curious about the world and try to see things in others perspectives just like the MCs in mangas(just generalizing it since its too long to seperate them) Ive read. It also made me true more new things compared to before where I limited myself to the things I was used to or liked. But it also made me doomscroll more lol and kinda made my memory worse with how much I read
It stopped me from kys multiple times. Truly. At the time, I had suicidal depression but no-one in my family really cared 'cause of some of the other stuff going on. So I found comfort in these characters md these stories. And I am still alive today! Really goes to show it's the small things are n life that matter 1 reply
Rainbow city and my dearest misery made me realize that it’s not art or any fandom that I’m dedicated to, it’s fiction as a whole….so now 2 years later I’m here with a creative writing degree and ten thousand WIPs

Genuinely think I might have an addiction to bl and it concerns and embarrasses me. When I'm crying or angry, my first go-to is reading gay smut. I think it's doing me more harm than good. I can't go about my day normally like I used to without thinking about bl T-T 2 reply
It killed my faith in humanity. Lolicons, shotacons, rape apologists and all the worst human beings alive in a internet community bubble that makes them think their weird bullshit is actually normal and everyone against them is the "enemy" 1 reply
It didn't change me at all, it's literally just a hobby. I'm the same person I was before, was it supposed to do something to make me different or more special than other people like?? ️

I liked it, and it made me aware of many good and bad things since a young age. So I was never confused with alot of things, like emotions and with dealing problems. It kind of made me develop a superiority complex though 1 reply
It has taught me to be less judgmental. I used to hate toxic stories and get super angry when people shipped the main characters with a super toxic second love interest instead of with the green flag ML.
But over time, I finally realized that all I can do is live my live the best I can. But I wasn't even doing that right. Who the fuck am I to judg...... reply
It improved my English, it also made me more observatory of my surroundings and also things I didn't know about before that I knew now, such as medical stuff, cooking and logic. I'm not sure about the bad changes for now reply
