Let me be free

I just want to tell this to someone

I'm an adult... But I can never be free from my parents demands. I live in asian household.

Don't get me wrong, I love my parents. Both of them sooo much. But they love to push their expectations on me and I feel suffocated.

For example, they push me to buy a house. At first I kept on dodging the demand. I keep on dodging until one day I feel very suffocated by my mother who keep on telling me to buy a house. A freaking house. This is not a simple purchase, it's a lifetime commitment and she keep on bringing it up every fucking day. At last, I just fold like idk what else to do or say. And that fucking transaction is a fucking mess and the process is not even finished until now. It's been ongoing for like 6 month or more. That's for another storytime.

Now, she's pushing me to go get the mounjaro injection. Yesterday she brought me to multiple clinics to compare the prices. I need to fucking grow a spine honestly and tell her I don't want to do that but I can't fucking say it. I told her okay let me take my time and see what this injection about and I see liver failure as one of the side effect. I told her about that and she's like oh maybe that won't happen to you....

I love my family but sometimes I just wish I can just drop everything and disappear.

I don't know what's that injection is but hey, never ever ever ever play with your health, no matter who tells you!, today it's you and health chasing after life, tomorrow it's you and life chasing after health, put a line but be gentle, tell your perspective and your opinion & solutions, and tell them the consequences of their actions or demands. If you want be creative you can even make a presentation, I'm not kidding it'll ease off the pressure. Good luck. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Bruh tell her you'll go to the gym instead of getting the injection, be firm n tell her you're not taking the injection. (N yea, grow a fucking spine or people will trample over you, forever.)

yk what, you don't gotta buy a whole house, but maybe save up and get out of that home if living there is taking a toll on you. you either move out and start paying rent using money or stay there and keep paying with your mental health. as you said, you are an adult. if your mother is pushing you to buy your own house, then i think they're more likely pushing you to be independent, that's freedom. now you are the only one who needs to free yourself.

I think that it’s important for you to say no. Gather the courage to do so. You say that you “can never be free from your parents demands” but isn’t it more like you won’t set yourself free? I think that if you go down this path of just fulfilling their every demand you’ll wake up to a life surrounded by decisions made by them through you and essentially your life wouldn’t really belong to you. Do you see yourself happy living life as imagined by your parents or do you have your own vision for your life that’d you’d like to see fulfilled ? Set yourself free!!! Decide!! Do it!!

Just understand that you won't be able to keep catering to your parents' whims forever. If you keep devaluing your needs and wants to keep allowing them power over your decisions, it will come to a point in the future where you will be so resentful and angry, it will all come pouring down in a way that will be out of your control. A lot of parties will be hurt in the process, but the most harm will be done to you. You will eventually break down completely, and the way you sound, and it will happen sooner than later. This is a well demonstrated phenomenon. Only you have the power to do something about it, you can take help, but the decision lies with you and no one else.

Damn, you're cooked buddy...but it's better to just shift to a rented house and leave your parents than to live on their demands
