How to not be a failure?
I have a very important exam in 4 days. I haven't studied anything and Idk how to. I never put any effort in my studies till highschool but i still got like top grades. It's an classic case of wasted potential. This is my 3rd time writing this exam in the Span of a year and to me personally it is not that hard either but to pass it there needs consistent effort and i can't do that. I always want to put in the effort but I can't. When I sit down to study I get distracted even without my phone cause I have tons of hobbies. The first time I wrote the exam i didn't study anything so i wasn't particularly sad about it but the second time i studied the night before the exam like i started 12am almost 10 hrs before the exam, there's four subject and i started studying at midnight for all the exam(that's it no revision or writing notes). The result came out i failed (i had a little hope that i would by some miracle would pass). If I had like 25 more marks i would've passed and i also accidentally prepared for the wrong exam on the third day so i lost a lot of mark there and i made a very big yet rookie mistake on my first paper. The thing is I swore that i would study this time yet months passed but no improvement in my part. I HATE MYSELF SO MUCH. It feels so silly but i don't know what to do. It feels even more silly to ask something academic here but this is the only place where i can say all this. I have tons of friends but none of them know how much I hate myself for my own incompetence. Those who have went through this sht please help me (i have watched thousands of self help videos) And i am not sure if anything will help. I feel like such an disappointment. (Sorry it is so long)
Hai, I went through the same problem you did. High school was really easy and most of the tests were memorization, so I never learned how to study properly. This put me in a really bad spot once I went to college and the tests became less memorization based and more conceptual. Here are some of my study tips.
I cram the week to night before.
