Do your friends know that you are a manhwa reader? Especially a BL reader
Years ago I learned that one of my close friends used to read bl but I'm talking about the times BJ Alex was so popular. She said she doesn't read anymore so I said same cuz I was embarrassed. We didn't really talk about it later and we are still close friends to this day. Even my best friend doesn't know that I have a hobby like this. I just told a male friend that I like reading mangas like One Punch cuz it feels less humiliating lmao

My friends know. It's a bit mortifying sometimes, because a lot of them will joke about liking yaoi because they like non-canon ships between male characters from shounen anime.
But then I'll start talking about some Mignon or something and realize I'm wayyyyy further down the rabbit hole of BL content than they are. Then they'll kinda look at me ...... reply
Hm I got into bl cause of my friend who read bl manga's and I converted my other friends too since they were open abt trying new stuff out, and I was suprised to find a lot more people who read bl which was really crazy cause i didn't know THAT many ppl around me read yaoi

FUH nah, only 3 of my closest friends know, but i don’t talk to 2 of them anymore :(.
but my other friends aren’t really into that kinda stuff, like manga’s, webtoons, k-drama’s, let alone BL. they’re not homophobic but we all grew up in like this straight marriage kid provider (aka Christian) hood.

I've went through WAY TOO MANY embarrassing and cringe phases in my life so now I just dissociate through the embarrassment. Almost all of my friends know bcz Idk how to keep my mouth shut. It sorta happened like that I was in my freshman year and one of my friends was telling me about the manhwas she liked to read on lezhin and at that time lezhin for me was mostly just bl/gl so I blurted out that I really like reading under the green light and she looked at me like I was a bug and quickly changed topics and we never talked about it ...... reply
I started reading BL during corona, then I told to 2 high school classmates,.one of them was a girl who watched BL thai series and other was a guy who didn't know how to react..later my lil bro knew it coz, apparently once I did not lock my phone n he saw what I was reading(idk whether I was reading hardcore or softcore stuff then).
