Antibiotics side effects??

Gojopubichair Gojopubichair 2026-09-14 03:37:09 About question
I've been on antibiotics for 3 days because I got tonsillitis. Today marked the fourth day I'm on antibiotics and I'm genuinely feeling so much nausea and dizziness. Thought it was because of me eating nothing but plain congee so I ate something with more protein but I still feel dizzy and lightheaded. Should I go off it? The doctor told me to he is prescribing me a 10 day medication because my tonsils are really inflame but I kid you not I was sitting next to the doctor and after examining me he log into chrome and type out medicine for acute tonsils. Never had that happened before.

You can call the pharmacy you got the prescription from if you don't want to schedule the doctors visit/ insurance issues. They wont give you medical advice per say but they can tell you if these are signs of side effects or adverse events and if you should stop and maybe switch drugs which would still require you to go to the doctor but at least you know. main reason to keep taking it is if the infection becomes resistant to the antibiotic they need to give you stronger drugs with likely more side effects and more damage to your healthy bacteria

I had a doctor where I asked him if dizziness was a side effect of a medicine I had to take and he googled it as well.

you might want to change doctors cause that's a bit concerning...

you need to contact your doctor to find out for sure.

normally you aren't supposed to stop taking antibiotics until you've used the whole 10-day supply, but if you are having issues you need to contact your doctor and describe your issues and they'll tell you whether to stop or not
