Being aromantic is bad?
I'm struggling to falling in love with someone, I can't get a attraction romantically. I don't know why but I don't mind close with someone but it's hard to feel connected with them.
It's kinda torturing me, I also have tendency to be avoidant and hyper independent. But that's only on romantic relationship, my friendship is fine. I feel like romantic relationship is a chore, I need to take care of them, I need to talk to them everyday, I need to include them with with almost anything. It's just feels like something that I need to do, not something I like to do.
I want to love someone but my heart don't have any Sparks, I can only like someone but not enough to love them. And I often felt guilty because I can't love them as much as they love me
i get how u feel. but ultimately u shouldn't enter a romantic relationship if this is how you feel about them. life is worth living without romance, it's not something necessary to living. companionship, sure, but not romance. there are other different kinds of love than romantic love, and thats fine too. 2 reply

I began to enjoy being aromantic when I was able to work through the idea that romantic love is inherently more valuable or necessary than any other type of love. N...... reply
there's absolutely nothing wrong with aromanticism!! there are far more ways than one to experience love and you should never feel the need to push yourself past your limits for something that might be 'expected' of you. there's more to life than romance!!!!!!!! if you don't feel romantic attraction then you don't feel it and there's nothing wrong ...... 1 reply
If you don't feel it, then don't date romantically. It would be unfair to force urself and it would also be unfair to the other person. There's other forms of love out there. reply
But do you actually need to be in romantic relationship or are you thinking that way because it's something that is "supposed to happen"?
Because most of us have always been taught to that YOU HAVE TO HAVE romantic relationship at some point of your life, one or multiple, but there HAVE TO BE one. That pressure is everywhere.
