I'm sure some of you who are on social media are familiar with The Purple Movement that happened late 2025. If you are not, it was campaign lead by the Women for Change organization to protest the GBVF in South Africa, the campaign culminated a massive shutdown ahead of the G20 summit. Everybody changed their profile pictures to purple and it felt like a big moment of solidarity, and that things might change for the better. NOTHING HAS. I feel terrified everyday to go outside with my friends, do my groceries, and EXIST. A serial killer is busy murdering women (The 6th body was found this morning already. 15/09/2026) but all our government can say is to not walk around alone and avoid getting murdered. If only it was that easy, right? Next thing they'll say is "dont walk outside without a male chaperone" like it's the Handmaids Tale.
This is our future. This is the state of the world we live in. Please pray for all the women in Somalia, Afghanistan, Congo, South Africa and many more. Im so sick and heartbroken for all the lives lost to femicide.
thank you for bringing awareness to this. too little people care but just one person can make a difference, and in this case it's you. it might seem like you're shouting into the void but talking about these issues is always important
i feel so saddened hearing about things like this and feeling helpless. to think that this can be ANY woman, no woman is free until every woman is free. i am sending lots of strength to women from from africa, somalia, afghanistan. i wish i could do something. the govt. is trash everywhere and hates women. it's getting so hard to even exist for literally half of the population. is there anything we can do, if yes please tell. i would also look more into it. i knew about it in brief but didn't know the condition is actually so worse. same with afghanistan, they're literally torturing women (torture doesn't even begin to mean it). i feel so deeply saddened and helpless. i wish i had alot of money and means to bring those women to safer places. all i can do is be vocal and support women locally so that women around me who are suffering can be helped.

7* bodies. Another was found. I just saw the post about it. 2 bodies found in one day. This is sickening and nobody is doing anything.
