Does extensive skincare work?
Does it work well for people who do it?
Because my whole life I didn't have any bad skin issues and for more than half of that life I didn't even apply moisturizer to my face. I just washed my face with just water; and with cleanser if i went out. And one or two pimples popped out a few times, I didn't pop it or anything it just went away. The only time I tried skincare was when I was dating my ex because he made me fucking insecure about normal skin texture, and at that time I used to have horrible breakouts. Now I do apply moisturizer after I cleanse my face and that's it.
It depends per person and genetics. If you have no issues then there is no need to do it. Just use moisturizer and sunscreen. Since I have extreme dry skin, I have to use moisturizing serum or creams to soothe it. Also had issues with acne and hyper pigmentation so incorporating certain stuff beyond the basic did help. reply
