Thoughts on kakaos new protection system?
Since taking down bato and almost all of it's mirror websites and even tapas they also have a new system to global monitor illegal translations on social medias that can detect up to 16,000 IPs 24/7. I'm just worried about the end of piracy and this website since it's been talked about so much on socmed :')
its always the international translations that gets shit but ive never seen them complain about the korean illegal sites, like- do they not know where translators gets the raw from... 1 reply
Not sure about the end of piracy, I’ve been on illegal websites since 2013 and still I am, those websites got nuked and other new websites pops again. Maybe one day they’ll succeed in cracking down illegal websites idk but I’m sure as hell that Kakao is greedy. reply
Honestly, the need for companies to ban piracy instead of actually figuring out what causes it, will be the end of the media accessibility. The services they provide to be able to read other works is just not sustainable for both readers and the authors/artists themselves. reply
All that money and all they do is overwork and mistreat their artist. They should focus on actually paying their artist instead of spending money to shut down piracy website. reply
