The fake-dating trope, because it's very difficult to do well. A common version has both characters secretly thinking, "They don't really like me...they're only doing this because of the arrangement."
The conflict can disappear once the truth comes out. If the primary obstacle is simply "we're pretending," revealing the feelings can leave the stor...... reply
