Rant scenario!!
Okay, so I don’t really know how to feel about this story. I can’t decide whether it’s actually sweet or not, but I want to hear your opinions about it.
My mom once had a friend (I don’t know if they’re still friends or not, but this happened years ago). Her friend was happily married, but she and her husband couldn’t have children, even though they tried various things. Nothing seemed to work, and the doctors didn’t know why. Maybe it was something biological on her end.
Of course, she was sad about it. She also thought a lot about her husband because she knew how badly he wanted children, too. However, he was incredibly kind to her. He never pressured her, complained about it, or made her feel guilty. Neither did his family. He basically told her, “As long as you’re happy and we’re together, that’s all that matters to me.”
She knew he meant it, but she still couldn’t help feeling guilty because she knew how much he would love to have children of his own.
Now, here’s what actually happened.
One day, the woman told her husband that he could marry another woman and have children with her since she couldn’t give him any. She felt that she was preventing him from experiencing something he wanted so badly.
Naturally, her husband refused at first. He told her, “Why would I do that? I love you, and I’ve already told you that I don’t care about having children anymore. You’re more important to me.”
But she kept insisting. Eventually, she even suggested that he could simply sleep with another woman to make a child and then return to her, so that he could have a biological child of his own without having to leave their marriage.
She continued insisting until he eventually agreed. He slept with another woman, but there were no romantic feelings involved. The intention was simply to make a child.
Afterward, the married couple also helped take care of the other woman by paying her hospital bills, providing food, and helping with other expenses.
Eventually, they had a child who was biologically the husband’s, although the wife wasn’t the child’s biological mother.
So, what do you think about this situation?
Was the woman right to do this? Would you consider what happened to be cheating, or would you see it as something else entirely?
Her reasoning was that she loved her husband so much that she could almost feel how deeply he longed to have children, even though he rarely expressed it directly. She knew he wasn’t pressuring her and that he genuinely loved her regardless, but she still wanted to do something to make him happy.
But also to see his child even though it was not her own. Now the child, (who is a son i think) is living with the couple and takes care of him.
