Do you consider yourself a fujoshi/fudanshi
Like the title says do you consider yourself a fujoshi or a fudanshi because I know of people who read yaoi but refuse to label themselves a fujo/Fudan because of the negative stigma surrounding the titles.
I do, but I might reconsider. I'm just getting sick of the prejudice. The term fujoshi is originally a derogatory term, but many women in Japan reclaim the word as a form of self-mockery. For me, I don't really care about the label itself, I just hope people will be mature and not judge an entire group on the actions of, most likely young teenaged,...... reply
No. I started reading yaoi and BL when I got sick and tired of the stereotypes placed on woman in shojo in general. I read it because men in society have more power in general l and also in a relationship because of gender norms. So reading a story were both people are on equal footing in societies eyes (or adleast in concept (insert omega-verse) ...... 1 reply
I'm not really a fan of labels but people tend to use them to easily identify and group people together based on interests and hobbies.
But because of this, if one person from a community does something bad, then everyone assumes all the members of that community do the same.

Not really. Most of the people around me don't even know what the term fujoshi means. So there's not point in categorizing myself as a fujoshi bc I'd just end up confusing ppl 乁| ・ ・ |ㄏ reply
