Joleyfak Joleyfak 2026-10-22 07:59:25 About question
i didn’t believe it when older ppl told me that u fall out of fandom spaces, reading manhwa/hua/ga, etc as u get into college but ive literally been off this site for a whole month since the sem started and im kinda gagged. i was so “im never gna stop reading manhwa everyday!” but then i did 💀

And then after your sem you'll have a week break and then after a week break suddenly it's your prelim for the 2nd sem. Lmao, been there

So normal imo. I’ll go months without reading and then come back and binge something. That’s just adult life. Unfortunately doing laundry and maintaining employment are more beneficial to my everyday life than the 2D men in my phone. Sigh.

I find that, as you get more life experiences, so many plots seem just too unrealistic, or the priorities of characters are too immature... it’s stuff I cared about in high school, but it seems insignificant now. It’s like being in high school and having to play with your elementary school aged cousins. When you’re a kid, you don’t understand how adults don’t want to play with toys, but when you’re an adult, playing with toys is so boring.

this is me until i find a good one lol like when im super busy i cant

genuinely you get more busy, more tired, you find other hobbies and your brain is finally a bit more developed to see how whack a lot of works actually are, even ones that the younger you would've ate up, so the drive to read isn't really that high anymore.

since I got older I'm always in either of these two phases:
- I read nothing for a few months
- I read the entire day for a few days/weeks until I get tired of it again
- repeat
