I still don't have my licence...all my friends do, and I don't I feel like such a chud and loser, everyone else can drive, I can't, it's so embarrassing and I'm embarrassed. I haven't taken a permit test, I'm way too stupid for that...like no joke, my memory is terrible and I lack common sense, terribly. If I take it, I'm sure I'm gonna fail.
You must be from US if you think driver's license is that important, like it's some kinda religious status symbol. In many other countries it barely matters at all, even in places with similarly ridiculously stupid car culture. It's quite reasonable that most people don't actually have driver's license, or if they have one they often don't have car to use anyway.
Not only that getting a license is expensive, keeping a car is expensive and nowadays if it's not something you absolutely need for family/job - it's just wasteful to have one. Nevermind how harmful the obsessive car culture is to the whole world.
If you aren't from US (or other area crippled by stupid car culture)... WTF? Take a damn train or a bus like most of the other people.
Also, if you actually have _real difficulties_ driving and with the test, you shouldn't be never driving a WEAPON. Yeah, you might be save, but you going to kill everyone else outside. And I'm saying this as a person with so bad ADHD that I decided not to have license or a car, because I would became a murdered. No status symbol is worth of killing someone just to look cool to others. If you friends bully you because of that, they were never friends in a first place.
Want a pro top? Study by using the online practice tests And just do it section by section until you get a certain percentage right. Thats how I did it. Just do it for a certain amount of time a day, say about an hour, and then keep doing it until you feel confident that you can pass. You don't have to have a perfect score on the written test, so just look up the percentage that you need to get right. The trick is to fool your brain by using methods that make it seem like its not that big of a deal. And you can take the test more than once, hun I think I studied for mine for about 3 months? I made sure to study at least a little bit every day. I was kinda late in getting my license as well All of my friends drove, so I never needed it. You gotta try to know, idk about you, for me it was a multiple-choice test, I used an app simulator for the test, every chance I had. I would write down the questions I got wrong often, and look them over in the book. Tbh I didn't really study the book, I followed the lessons, looked over the important stuff like once of twice, the only bits I tried memorizing where the ones for example listing different types of vehicles and their properties,... you can find youtube courses to just listen. When I had to memorize a particular sign, I'd make up some silly story to explain the image connected to its meaning.
Anyway just do LOTS OF TESTS, when you think you got the hang of it (as in not make many mistakes) you're ready.
Don't worry we all went trough it, even when I got my license I still didn't feel ready to drive, had many worries, never thought I would be good like the others, looking back now it's so easy, love the freedom of going where I want lol

If you're in the US, there's lots of practice test apps. Download one and give it try. My siblings have used them and passed their permits.
