I'm a bilingual asian and in our country there are honorifics for everything. Like in Korea the <nim>, <shi>, or <sunbae>. Japan and China also have these types of honorifics. There is also a more polite way of speaking to elders.

But in english there is nothing. The most I can do is to say <Ms.> or <Mr.> and I have nothing else to call a senior. I use Mr. and Ms. for almost everything. My mom's friend, a teacher, a relative or a stranger. I usually change my speech for seniors/elders but in english nothing really changes...

It's really interesting in a way.

My personal favorite is when they act lovey-dovey in bed. Not necessarily having sex, just being stuck in their own world and having fun.

I don't really understand the stigma that het manga sucks and have boring plot and the FMC is usually weak and whatever. If you go on the shoujo tag and sort by popularity almost everything on the first page is generally good. You can also go on webtoon and go to the romance genre and a lot of those stuff are good (Edith, Freaking romance, scorching romance, devil no. 4, etc.).

If you try searching for some you can find good shoujo and het romance manga (Horimiya, Okobore Hime to Entaku no Kishi, Keishichou Tokuhanka 007, love so life, etc.).

I think it's okay to prefer BL over Het manga but it's just wrong to say that you prefer BL because there are no good het romance out there. You're just not trying to find good het mangas and that okay.

mc: Haves fun with friend/smiles in front of someone/looks is the general direction of someone while smiling.

other mc: You cheater!!!!

mc: no that's my sister/mom/brother

other mc: Whew! I almost thought you were having fun with someone else other than me.

I just bought some chapters of heat and run from watching ads and I actually gasped when I saw that each chapter had 400-500 hearts and 10 comments.

Imagine dedicating your life, health and money to make something only to get 10% of income because of illegal readers...

I feel like literal trash.

For me I have a bad habit of self inserting in stories where the FMC is bland/has no personality which leads me to not enjoy the story. I cant self insert in yaoi cus im not a guy, so I can read the series at face value even if both MCs are trash/poorly written.

I tried translating a chapter of a manhwa that I liked and I dead ass visited 20 websites to see if a single one had a smaller watermark. They all had the same watermark per chapter regardless of the website... Is this because of the korean copyright laws or something?

When looking at two (real)men together I almost immediately think about which one will top or bottom. I know that it's not right and I think about other things like which food I'll eat to stop that thought immediately but I'm so disappointed at myself for even thinking that because I know that people are not things that I assign roles to. Any useful advice to stop these kinds of thoughts?

I hate love triangles in general.

The feeling of rooting for a character when it's clearly obvious that they are just going to be a plot point for the main characters makes me extremely depressed.

Even if I'm not rooting for the 2nd lead, it still makes me sad knowing that this character that I have read 50 chapters about has strong feelings for the mc and has this sad backstory and how the mc has changed him etc. will just be left alone in the end.

Love triangles make me depressed because I spend so much time on these 3 characters but I know that only 2 will get a happy ending.
