That’s pretty much me. I don’t what it is, but I feel like female characters are usually horribly written and annoying, whereas in BL the characters tend to be somewhat equals in personality. I'm not really into the omegaverse because I don't like stories where your whole being is pretty much dependent on your phenotype. I've never read any omegaverse fanfics, but I've read some manga and even though the sex is hot the whole situation of omegas is so unbalanced that no amount of hot sex can make me enjoy it. I kinda agree with the original poster in that being single gives me more freedom. It kinda bothers me. It’s not a deal breaker, but it also depends on the writing. In terms of aesthetics, I prefer characters to kinda have the same build, so in that case I don’t really care about positions, but there’s also exceptions, such as the top being a lot slimmer than the bottom, still masculine.
