It’s hard to match 1:1 in English, so I think they should keep the honorifics as much as possible, because sometimes when they try to “match”, they just sound too formal/stiff. A few examples I can think off: In Hello Veterinarian, the characters refer to each other as Mr./Ms, but I’ve seen some of the unofficial translations that use “D......   1 reply

Likes: Possums. They’re cute and people misunderstand them. They eat all kinds of creepy crawlers and don’t carry fleas. Crows. Very smart birds. Dislikes: SJW, virtue signaling.   1 reply

Why do people always act like sex hasn’t been used to sell things forever? Sydney Sweeney is an easy target because she’s known for being sexy. This ain’t her first rodeo with sexy, possibly offensive ads. Sabrina Carpenter faced some backlash with her album cover where she was on her knees. Sabrina is also known for her provocative performan......   reply

A long time ago I used another website that was similar to this one, and suddenly all series were taken off, but the site was still up. I guess if it eventually come through that they pull off the series, it’ll just remain as a social media site and we’ll just migrate to another site for actual reading.   reply

I didn’t start reading manga etc until around 2004, so I don’t have many faves from the 90s or earlier, but here are some I remember: Geneimuso (aka Phantom Dream) https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/genei_musou/ Mars https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/mars_souryo_fuyumi/ RG Veda https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/rg_veda/ Tokyo Babylon https://ww......   reply

Hmm. People basing their opinions on someone else’s opinion. For example, I’ve seen people comment on here that they won’t read something that has a rating lower than 9, but I’ve seen really popular things that are rated pretty highly that are absolute trash, and things that are not that popular and rated lower that are absolute gems. I’ve been collecting for a long time. Back in the early aughts when the first manga boom happened and everyone was publishing everything under the sun, then for a while there publishing slowed down and it’s starting to pick up again, but room isn’t infinite, so now I’m focusing only on series I really like. Series I’m currently collecti......   1 reply

I’m technically still a Catholic and I don’t plan to officially leave the church, but my relationship with religion was never very strong to begin with. I guess the term to describe me would be a lapsed Catholic. I grew up Catholic, did all my required sacraments and went to mass, but it was never a very strictly enforced thing at home. My par......   reply
