It’s called acting. You’re pretending to be something you’re not. Back in Shakespeare’s day, men played woman’s roles, kabuki in Japan is performed by males, etc. Actors are supposed to make you believe in their role, so what they are r who they like in real life should have no bearing.   reply

I’m starting to get bothered by the “destined lovers” or “promised lovers” trope. I hate the idea of not being able to decide freely. Eventually they fall in love, but t always feels to me like they never had a choice to begin with. Mpreg should not be so normalized in BL comment sections. Same goes for omegaverse stories. Just because one half of the couple can , doesn’t mean they have to want to have babies. Also, stop “turning” alphas/betas into omegas just because. People should be able to have sex without people clamoring about babies in the comment section.   3 reply

One of the things I’ve noticed bothers me about BL is the fact that character A just assumes character B is going to be ok bottoming. Like they’re literally already half naked when it’s brought up and the one who’s gonna bottom hesitates for like 2 seconds before he’s like “ok”, or sometimes it’s not even mentioned, only bottom thin......   2 reply

Can we add images to our comments, please. Sometimes an image is worth more than a 1000 words and you need to share an image of something that happened in a particular chapter. I’ve seen it done in another website.   reply

Extreme lightweights. Like you seriously completely lose your inhibitions with one sip or even worse, a whiff of alcohol? I don’t really drink, but I find that trope so annoying. Make these characters have a little tolerance and make it believable.   2 reply
