I get why bi and homosexual individuals hate how popular media portrays them. I have issues with it myself. However, that doesn’t mean you can demean yaoi or yuri or the people who read it. Most people just use it as an escape and to read something different. That’s it. It’s harmless drawings and dialogue on paper. The problem is when an indi......   3 reply

I love babysitting my nephew and look forward to having another niece/nephew but I don't want the responsibility of my own. I love my freedom and being able to leave and stay out without worrying about others welfare. Financially I'm not doing that well anyway. Truly, I'm doing the world a favor by going childless.   1 reply

I'm from the u.s. and I read shota. It's fiction, a piece of fantasy and a bunch of pages that shouldn't be taken seriously. And I'm not going to sit here and say 12-14 year olds arent having sex because at my brother's junior high graduation, there were graduates with babies who weren't their nephews/nieces or sister/brothers.   1 reply

That’s hard to imagine. I mean, yeah the site is illegal and webtoon authors should have problems with their work being free BUT shutting this site down isn’t the solution. I mean, this isn’t the only illegal site. There’s dozens of other websites that do what mangago does. I mean, sublime had many copyright issues here before but mangago j......   1 reply

Manga. I try to read webtoons but i just sit there, waiting for something to happen for 5-10 chapters because they're so short and jumpy. I like a couple but it's like "I'll read a chapter in another 10 updates." And even then, they might be on the same event. I stayed with Crepscuele for 35 chapters but after no sign that the plot was going to sho......   reply

You know, it took society 30+ years to label my sexuality, or lack of it. In the end though “asexual” is just a term to describe something most people think doesn’t exist because we’re the minority of a larger minority.   reply

I work in a grocery store so this happens a lot but the latest one is that a delivery driver came to pick up some bags and said “I can’t take those bags. Do I have to?” There were just no words...   reply

I don't seek tragedies per say but I enjoy slice of life mangas a lot. Not necessarily when a lot of people die and it becomes overwhelming but a death or two in a story creates a bittersweet, "real" ending that actually makes me feel. I hate emotions but in real life I'm an objective logical person who rarely lets things get to them and sometimes ......   1 reply

about have sex
I was bullied in elementary school and while it was traumatizing, it was minor and made me realize I needed to be stronger and stop giving people power over me. Since then, anyone who tried to be nasty or mean and could have led to more severe bullying I've just ignored and walked away. And with all respect, my bully had serious home issues. Ten ......   1 reply

about rape
Honestly, it doesn't matter. I mean they're both bad but yaoi representation makes it hard for many readers to judge. I mean I read a manga where people cried "cheating" when it was rape. So according to them, rape=cheating, and the number of likes on this comment was pretty high scary enough. Then we have the idea of "sex partners" or "open relati......   3 reply

I’ve worked with transgender people. I was okay with using them/they or a nickname, last name. Respected their decisions and such. They are just people. Now, the choices some make when dating and the intimacy that follows boggles my mind. Maybe not first date material or anything but be honest if you’re going over and expecting sex! Just becaus......   1 reply

This is actually a pretty good question. It's an important thing for my friends and family but as I am asexual, I treat it basically as a theory and cannot understand the desire for it. It truly is a mystery to me. Also makes it really hard when you go out to meet new friends and the only thing they want to talk about is sex. Sure, I could explain ......   reply

I work with someone that's disabled and he did ask me out but I turned him down. Mostly because I'm asexual and happy single but on a side note, it's because I don't want to babysit him 24/7. I know it isn't his fault he will forever have the mental state of a 8 year old but if I chose to date, it'd be with someone who is mature and can take care o......   3 reply

If it's a monogamous relationship where both sides are committed, it's bad to do. However, if it's an on-off or open relationship, it can't really be called cheating if both sides know and agree there's no long-term loyalty.   reply

People here treat it as fiction so it's not really much of a problem. You may have a point about real-life though. I was discussing rape prevention with someone and when I thought of inventive ways to do so, like including LGBTQ individuals, they didn't understand why because rape only happens to heterosexual females. Granted this was one person bu......   reply

I usually am pretty logical and like discovering new things. Like necrophilia, won't seek it out but I'll see how it develops. So I can't say I have a line. After all, most yaoi are unrealistic and fictional. No reason to take it seriously.   2 reply

No. I can’t really say I have friends in real life too. All of my friends are work related and when I got promoted an invisible rule formed where there’s many things I’m never to know.   reply

Usagi from sailor moon. I know she is a 13 year old love obsessed idiot so she's supposed to come off that way, mostly for comedic effect, but that doesn't mean she's any less annoying. The new anime has her being less annoying but she's still annoying.   1 reply
