My friend has tried online dating. It took a bit for the site to really know what he wanted but he was in a long-term relationship for year and half as a result. As long as you talk online and meet in public areas it's safe.   2 reply

Quit my job, leave the country, and go somewhere where no one can find me. I've always wanted to run away from my problems, be irresponsible, and selfish like that but I never do it because I'm the complete opposite and that doesn't solve anything. But if I'm dying, who cares anymore?   reply

Yeah, love is unappealing for me but it's more for biological reasons than anything. I'm basically aromatic asexual so I'm unable to feel sexual desire for anyone (m/f) and cannot fall in love. For a while though I wondered like you if I was just scared, if it was due to low self-esteem, etc because love can really affect and hurt others. It was in......   reply

about yaoi talk
Honestly, this has never bothered me. Not when I was in high school, in my teens, and reading shoujo and not now when I'm thirty, a working adult and read multiple genres. I mean, I'm asexual so the the whole idea disgusts me but sex is a biological need for people who aren't and that need isn't restricted to adults only. I mean, if you take age of......   reply

I like it if they're cousins or step siblings. Half-siblings or more usually not although there is a yaoi manga where I find it acceptable because the family has this curse where they fall in love with their brothers and sisters. Every generation of it, so I feel like it's out of their control.   reply

I've already stopped reading a lot of yaoi. I never really "stop" reading genres completely though. I just read what interests me.   1 reply

I'm not sure if asexuals are part of the lgbtq community either. I mean, there isn't one absolute definition of it and if you take it literally, unless you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer you aren't. However, if I've missed something and this group has announced asexuals are included and welcome, please give me the link to it. Ot......   1 reply

I don't have one now but I used to be a huge rogue fan.   reply

In an alternative universe where I'm not asexual, it'd be pretty obvious because if they ask about my hobbies...well, I'd have to tell them manga. I may not come out with the yaoi part straight away though.   reply

It is much better. I was worried when they turned on comments again but overall, users are respectful and tolerant now. We still have some questionable stuff but the minute someone posts, users don’t attack the person, degrade them because they think differently, and harass them constantly to prove they’re right. They seriously had no life. I ......   reply

I don't use tampons. I hate pads as they're like diapers but if the alternatives are diva cups or tampons, I'll take the lesser evil.   1 reply

I want a job that I love, in oil and gas where I make enough so I can pay off my student loans, buy a condo, and build a retirement fund. This whole working part-time thing where I fight to grab shifts to be able to pay rent is too stressful.   reply

about question
Not me. It’d be nice to have money and a known path but the expectations and attention would drive me nuts, even the constitutional ones where the queen has no power and purpose. Those include marriage and kids, 2 things I hate and would never do.   reply

I once got a D on a biology test. It was on plants, and distinguishing them is difficult. Not that taking it when having the stomach flu helped but my professor was a nazi and wouldn’t let you retake tests ever.   reply

Not usually. If it's a couple paragraphs, they're pretty good and even if they themselves don't like it, the reviewer is like "if you like...watch it." However I've noticed a lot of people who review every single episode and they just end up hating everything and hanging on useless details that have no relevance. anime is a hobby for most people, n......   2 reply

I haven't had a first love but my first crush in hindsight was pretty lame. It was an upperclassman in my French class and I basically liked him because he was nice and polite, like opening a door for me. I knew deep down I wasn't serious though so I didn't do anything about it and let it die. Still though, I'm really embarrassed because it's somet......   reply

Depends on the individual. My sister didn't wait and she ended up in a good marriage. My sister-in-law did wait and their marriage is good too. All I can say is use protection because my nephew was born two weeks before their 1st wedding anniversary. It happened fast.   reply

It depends on the mood I'm in. It's junjou if I need a laugh or slight slice of life feel full of heart. I read sekaiichi if I want a more mature and professional take on whatever is happening.   reply

I like yaoi because the characters are usually mature. There are shoujo where the hero/heroine are mature but it's not common and Josei has mature women but between drama and desperation to attract men, they don't act it.   reply

Not really. I don't want to die right now but should it happen, I'm at a place where I've accomplished some major goals that'd I be able to accept it.   reply
