I quit a job after 2 and a half months cuz they started training me to answer the phone and it was making me so anxious I couldn't sleep, was throwing up at least once a day, developed a rash, and started having random panic attacks over nothing. Honestly I think it's partially cuz body hair is a pain to draw LMAO It's definitely likely there's a beauty standard aspect to it but idk if like korea n japan n all that have different standards around men shaving so I can't say for sure yk. If you spend time on the forums and comments you'll probably start recognizing people, and then there's the occasional user that a lot of people recognize.
