What are some concepts, tropes or whatever you wanna see in stories because you think they're interesting? Personally i enjoy fucked up family relationship specifically codependency and emotional incest, i find it such an interesting concept especially in regards to the patriarchy like how fathers and brothers are obsessed with the virginity of their daughters and sisters, it's so obviously incestuous but it's normalized because of misogyny. I find it interesting and I wish there were stories that explored this that aren't made by weirdos obviously into straight up incest I like twisted dynamics when they're well written and trying to actually explore themes and say something.

Obviously Isekais are known as kind of a dumpster fire genre but what can be improved to make the genre actually interesting, what tropes should be thrown out and what can be added?

Please read the Earthsea books, they're genuinely some of the best fantasy books out there and they were literally done so dirty by ghibli, Earthsea are books were almost all the characters are poc with dark skin with only one prominent white character but they were whitewashed to hell and back in the ghibli movie anyhow this is the plot: Earthsea follows Ged, a reckless young mage with immense power, who unleashes a dark shadow creature due to pride. He journeys across the archipelago to fix his mistake, learning that power requires balance, ultimately accepting the shadow as his own inner darkness. Not to mention the writer Ursula K. Le Guin (rip) isn't a transphobic racist weirdo

I'm genuinely baffled how people genuinely think that if you don't like a story you just have to be quiet and say nothing, people will genuinely get mad at you for giving even the littlest negative reviews, guys negative reviews are just if not more important than positive how tf is an author or inspiring authors going to improve their writing, think about what can be better, what should be portrayed in a more sensible way eccetera. I know the bl community has pretty much normalized rape and allat but it's pretty clear at the moment that most authors are not writing this stories with dark topics to actually explore them but because they're popular with readers and their easy to make popular cuz ya know artists need that bag, i don't wanna shit in anyone's jam but even if you got a weird kink (sigh) have some class about it and taste, let's actually analyze and criticize these stories ☹
