No hate to op but I've seen this statement so much on Twitter and TikTok and honestly...stop lying to yourselves, y'all do know "hating men" but sill obsessing over them is being male centered right?? Y'all can just admit to liking rape yaoi just cuz with no bigger "feminist" reason to it. Ignoring GAY men being uncomfortable with women fetishizing their suffering isn't #girlboss #feminist, are gay men still men and overall misogynists? Sure. Are most yaoi reader straight women who still hold biases against gay men even though their main oppressors are straight men? Yeah...Why are you guys so against so against any type of nuance .

For anyone who doesn't know bls were born from shoujos and older bls especially from the 70s/80s are some of the best ones I've read, maybe its because it wasn't as saturated of a genre if is now but i low-key want to see some bls that have that level of writing, sure they could be a little melodramatic but that was part of the fun

In my opinion it's original animes, animes with no mangas or books or games. Just pure original animated movies and shows. I think we are not getting enough of that nowadays.

I come across some people that didn't realize a lot of self proclaimed fujos are homophobic which surprised me, I've been in the anime community since i was 11 and i was already pretty into BLS and that was before 2020 so old anime fandom type shenanigans were happening one of which was homophobic ass fujoshi who were completely open about the fact it was only the idea of the gay relationship they liked not gay people, that's why the term fujoshi grew to have a negative meaning, it seem some people have grown too chronically online and forgot that the major exports of "yaoi" is from conservative ass countries, most of these yaoi are very much not realistic because realistic depiction of gay relationship is not marketable to a homophobic audience lol

It's so tiring reading stories where the main character is always losing.

I hate when authors make the mc get assaulted/stalked/have their lives put in danger just so the love interest can come and be their white knight, and after that the mc is never affected by the traumatic event they went through they just move on, i just finished reading a story i overall liked but that had the mc be almost assaulted and MURDERED and right after he went and had sex with the ml c'mon now

My mother side of the family has two cool things a naming routine where almost all of our names start with I and idk if this is that cool but premature white hairs, i know it sucks for some but i genuinely really like it lol.
