I think everyone is trying to stay in the middle ground saying "oh men and women suffer both" to sound smart and nuanced or something but its so clear that women suffer the MOST from the patriarchy. There's always a huge power imbalance in these types of situations, even if the siblings aren't related. For example, if you grow up with someone, they're almost always going to be someone older and someone younger. The younger sibling will always unconsciously (or consciously) look up to the older sibling which is what causes the power imbalance. ......   1 reply

I believe that using things like "black" or "white" to describe someone isn't inherently racist, it just depends on the context.
