You're doing better than the pressure makes it feel, you've got a job and your own place, that's real. Not having a plan at 19 isn't a failure, most people don't figure that out early either. You don't owe anyone a five-year plan on a deadline. It's okay to just be stable for a while.

Honestly, I don't really analyze why I like every genre I read. If something interests me, I read it. If it starts getting boring, I drop it. If it has questionable writing or themes, I'll critique it. Other than that, I'm usually just reading because I enjoy it, not because I'm trying to learn something about myself every time.

agree. Honestly, I don't really judge what other people choose to read & I just read whatever I enjoy. But if a story includes SA, dub-con, or other uncomfortable themes, people shouldn't expect everyone to react positively or never criticize it. And sometimes the way people aggressively defend those elements makes it feel less like they're talking......
