I'm terrified of fireworks, but it's not the noise that bugs me, it's how they look. Like meteors raining down or rubble/shrapnel flying out from an explosion, and how you don't know their shape/color/texture-of-popping until they explode and look like they're flying directly at you. I was 14, it felt really mushy compared to what I was imagining it’d be like. I used to kiss my hand to try to understand it, but actually kissing a mouth is way different. Kissing is hell if the other person has bad breath or dry mouth. Chapped lips don’t bug me, but if you taste like dehydration it’s too much.   1 reply
