would it put you off if a story keep it honorific from it's original language. idk why translator keep taking them off and replacing it with just a name... it loses parts of the tone and character for most characters.

and similarly, would it put you off that couples would use honorific for siblings for their s/o? that's the only reason why I think some of these translator take the honorific off tbh. like hyung and oppa is originally for family members. but you can also use this for ppl outside of your family. this is not a weird concept but I've seen certain people take the "family" part too seriously and can't seem to wrap their head around that concept.
