I get that too. I actually love that feeling; it's what motivates me to read romance. I only feel it when I read romance if it isn't romance, but there's still a sad scene. I do still get sad, and I will maybe cry, but I won't feel that ache. the same goes for watching. even if the show was romance, I wouldn't feel the heartache.   reply

I used to think the same way. just let them be; we actually need those people; they are a sort of reminder. we have kids here who may start thinking that an older person can romantically like someone who is a minor or child in real life.   reply
