X2 It comes off a really quite homophobic as essentially one character is taking the "female role" as they get called things like wife and mother, rather than husband or dad.
I'm guessing it's because same sex marriage and also gay couples adopting kids isn't yet legal in places like Japan so they don't yet view it as mundane or have a frame of reference maybe? At least current webtoons are showing a more normal depiction with marriage and men not being referred to as being the wife or the mother.
