I told my mom "I won't get married" and she got mad at me, telling me that creating your own family is the greatest part of your life. In which I think it's not. I'm almost 23 but in my entire life, I only enjoy dating once. During my last relationship, I realized a life being single, being alone, you can do whatever you want. So, I guess that "one......   2 reply

Me and hubby got married early last year after dating for 7.5 years( we were 25 when married)and from about our 4th anniversary (21-22) onwards every family event we attended would always get the oh arent u guys gonna get engaged yet blah blah blah so there's definitely that expectation and pressure even today which is definitely an annoyance. Well in my case I think I'm aromatic or Asexual. I've never had interest in marriage or getting a significant other. Honestly I have no clue still. But I'll just see what happens in life and go with my own flow. But I'm single and happy. Though I would like to adopt a kid on day.   1 reply

Our married life isn't ordinary 'cause we're bisexual but we're happy to fulfill each other. ......   1 reply

Ah, I get the pressure and stigma. It sucks. Do we really have to follow this "manual" of life? I don't think so. To each his own. People my age are already married and even have kids but I'm not really excited with the thought. I couldn't even see myself being married to my longtime (ex) boyfriend despite being in a hard-to-come-by faithful relat......   reply

No. I am 43, and while I used to date and even have a 19-yr-old son (out of wedlock), I do not really date anymore. I have only ever met one man that I TRULY wanted to spend the rest of my life with. He did not love me back (we are still friends, but he married someone else). After that, I tried dating a few times, but I just don't feel anything ev......   1 reply
