This is only the 2nd manga I've reached the end of and holy moly did I enjoy every second of it. The plot continuation through each chapter and the suspense and constant moving around of the deathnote had me staying up until 12 AM on school nights just to get closer to the end (however I will admit L and Light are one of the more main reasons for the staying up). I particularly enjoyed Ryuk and Rem and all the other shinigamis + the death world!!!! Ryuk's a silly guy and I love that for him. Unfourtunately, most women characters in this manga aren't treated too well But if you have a good imagination you can warp the manga to make yourself feel better (Misa misa gets mistreated a lot)

I love the task force

Death note was my first contact with the japanese culture of mangas and animes, and it was awesome. It's a great story that makes you interested until the end! I absolutely love the development of the story and characters. In my opinion, it's a must-read.

I'm kinda disappointed at the ending:)
