So confused why people are make it seem like it’s deep or good but it really isn’t I’m shocked how hard the story was trying to be deep but failed miserably

I like the authors other work but nothing as good as they make it seem to be damn I’m disappointed. First time comments rlly don’t match the story.each to their own ig.

Probably only reason i read it cuz it caught my attention on how much depth this mangaka take this story while i know other works their it always makes me go indulge in them , how bull story was beautiful they tells uss how red has different form, how pair of heels can be shorter for men , foootbal player ones and guard , and a guy writing novel for a old man cuz he is on his dead bed, he thought ending would have happy ending but eventually it was sad and old man die's on his bed. its reallly mature not for everyone giving it rating at 8.1 i can sure that reading audience on mangago could not understand the adulthood life s more than flowering romance in yaoi. it worth the read.

Rafita is the young, rising star of the bullfighting world known as "The Red Matador." He has never feared facing a bull since his first kill at the age of twelve. But when he falls in love with Mauro, a butcher who rends the bulls that Rafita kills, his confidence begins to waver. In the matador's dreams, Mauro (who, like a bull, is colorblind) is, alternately, the bull he faces in the ring and the butcher who carves up his own skewered corpse. Beautifully observed and drawn by est em, the author of Seduce Me After the Show, with a depth of style and passion, Red Blinds the Foolish depicts a complex relationship, and a cultural form, in a place where the sublime and the savage meet.

A series of exquisitely illustrated, mature shorts that respect the reader's intelligence. The visual storytelling and the spare, carefully chosen dialogue work in concert to give shape to the lives of the people who inhabit this manga without overdetermining how the reader interprets them. Another way of putting it is there is a distance between the reader and the characters, which makes them seem all the more like they are real people with complex inner lives who fully live within the pages of the story. I think this mangaka is one of the finest BL writers, an author who is completely unconstrained by the rigid formula of the genre and makes stories that are for anyone who loves subtlety and nuance, anyone who is willing to read a manga that doesn't hold their hand the whole way through.

There is one slightly longer short (it's the titular story) about a fearless matador and a man whose job is butchering the bulls killed in the ring. This story does not have a typical structure; it is told in non-linear slices of moments in both of their lives, determined thematically rather than temporally. I have a special fondness for this one. It is woven together beautifully and evocatively. My grandmother grew up in Spain (it seems that all the stories are set in various places across the European continent) and once told me that matadors had a reputation for being homosexual. I am sure this is just a coincidence, but I like to think that this is a bit of social realism in the manga and it always makes me think of my grandmother.
No rape/dubcon, although warnings for animal cruelty with the bullfighting.

Eh... didnt like it. Skimmed through it. No happy endings really. And I kinda wanted the main story to be continued so I knew what was happening! Couldn't follow what was going on.

so many diverse stories about life and romance

List of alternative manly activities that could substitute bullfighting (and let me fucking enjoy the beautiful story horror-free):
- Monster truck show
- Roller derby
- Crawfish racing
- A Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey episode
- Hot dog eating contest
- Competitive puzzle games tournament
- Extreme make-over "España" edition
Yeah, las corridas suck.
Top notch story-telling, ohh my god those eyes...

• Pg. 003 Red Blinds the Foolish - a rising star Matador x a Butcher
• Pg. 056 Baby, Stamp Your Foot - a Foot Fetish Shoemaker
• Pg. 068 Extra Time - an idiotic Football Fan x a Security Guard
• Pg. 080 Light - A young man assists an old novelist writing his dictation

The main story of this multi-plotted volume is of Rafita, a rising star in the matador world, and Mauro, a butcher. What these two have in common? A career in the bovine industry, and a mutual attraction to each other.

Not to mention, there's quite a few passionate sex scenes for all you fujoshis to enjoy.
