I feel sorry for the mom ofc bc they made her marry someone she didnt love yadayadayada, BUT, shes been shown:
- to not care much for the child (she explicitly said in the letter "im leaving you bc my boo hates kids so fuk u")
- to be very naive (a sheltered girl that ran away with a servant, causing her to be shuned - virtually dead, no family, no money, im assuming no skills)
- to be very weak-minded
I am actually very, very, very worried as to why she wants the child back... I wouldn't put it past her to sell the little girl for money to keep running away with her lover :/
or, her lover left her and she realized how alone she is and wants to drag the child into her sorry life just so that she doesnt have to suffer alone u.u

Wow, the premise really is the same, but it’s not this one Σ( ￣□￣||) I remember the mood being a bit sadder? Less comedy than the one you suggested :O ty tho!
Another thing I think I remember is that the vampire tries tto make the witch love him by shapeshifting into her dead lover, but she does t react at all (I think she spends her days laying down on her dead lover’s grave?)
