It’s more so that she’s making assumptions about the situation despite not being in the household for years. She believes the FL is like her or doesn’t know about the curse, when that’s absolutely wrong.
No, I cannot foreshadow anything if I myself know nothing. It's just my own personality not to jump to conclusions without having both parties' side of the story.
And I definitely don't want anything bad happen to the family, gosh, they've already had more than enough of that. But I don't assume them to be completely innocent of everything since they've already been proven guilty of stuff in the past.

I said the mother has already made her own assumptions of what’s happening to the FL, not you. She’s made assumptions of the FL being treated the same way when, she herself, has no clue what’s been happening in the household for at least the past year. She’s already incorrect about that point. So it doesn’t look like she’s 100% right. Her being put under surveillance isn’t odd when you think about how many dangerous situations had already been shown and the amount of people that was trying to harm the family.

But it's okay, I find it interesting to discuss points with other readers. I kinda understand the surveillance thing the way you put it, but it's still unnerving having no privacy of your life in your own home for such a long time. Speaking for myself, but I don't think I'd be able to stand it and then be all quiet and calm about it.
