I will give a few of them some grace because they were children and still ignorant about social issues, but the rest are lost causes unless they educated themselves and developed class consciousness and empathy.
Crazy how children which Rashta is, and poor people are the villains instead of the nobles who are capitalists given grace and empathy instead of the oppressed class.
I think it also stems from the fact that some people will root for the main character no matter what and were never confronted to a story with actual deep writing (unlike this one lol) where the "good guys" are not actually good,
so when they come across a book like this one they can't see it for what it truly is and just keep the "main character = good , rival =evil bitch that should die" mentality that makes it hard for them to see the issues and shallow depth of the writing.
I know this because a good chunk of people were able to reflect on the book after i told them that if rashta was the mc they would LOVE her and HATE navier
